The Sleeping Buddha Statue in Mojokerto

Mojokerto is a city that has some historical tourist attractions such as temples, museums, and other historical discoveries. One of the most interesting and unique tourist attractions is the Sleeping Buddha Statue. This tourist attraction is located in the MahaVihara Mojopahit complex, on Trowulan hallway, Trowulan District, Mojokerto Regency, East Java. The place is easy to find and access. Initially the Sleeping Buddha Statue in Mojokerto was made in 1993. This Sleeping Buddha statue is built on a fish pond and is also surrounded by beautiful views. This statue is a statue depicting Gautama Buddha which has a length of 22 meters, a width of 6 meters and a height of 4.5 meters. Not only that, the sleeping Buddha statue is made of concrete, and all parts of the statue are painted golden yellow. It is one of the largest statues in Indonesia. The Sleeping Buddha statue in Mojokerto is a place of worship for Buddhists that is open to the general public.  

The existence of the Sleeping Buddha Statue has a positive impact on the surrounding environment, which in the end many local residents have opened shops around the Sleeping Buddha Statue. Most of them sell souvenirs and also various foods. Local people who sell it claim that the object of the Sleeping Buddha statue brings them sustenance. Many are helped on the economic side because of the high number of visitors. This is one of the recomended tourism place for those of you who interested in historical tourist attractions.
